The police are investigating the suspected
murder of an unidentified man whose body was found in the Stabroek Market
area on Saturday night with stab wounds.
According to a police press release, the man’s body was found in the
vicinity of Brickdam and Cornhill Street with suspected stab wounds around
10pm on Saturday night.
The victim was described as being of East Indian descent, about 29 years
of age, 5’ 3” in height and clad in a blue hat, cream and green
checkered shirt and black sweat pants.
The words “Shelini my love” were tattooed on his left side chest and
“Jah Live” on his right side chest.
He was pronounced DOA at the Georgetown Public Hospital, the police
stated.

The man’s body is currently at the public hospital mortuary.
