The release said that
Liverpool, who holds passes in
four CXC subjects, is a product
of the GDF Academic Upliftment
Programme run by the army's
education department.
The army officer attended
another course in the USA in
2001 and he once again performed
creditably and was adjudged the
most outstanding student in a
Unit Supply Specialist Course in
that country.
Meanwhile, the release said
that SGT Dover achieved a grade
point average of 84% on the
Aircraft Structural Repairs
Course and was awarded the US
Army Aviation Badge and Wing for
his performance as the most
outstanding international
student on the course.
It was stated that Dover
attributed his success in the
course to the knowledge he
gained at the Art Williams and
Harry Wendt Aeronautical
Engineering School, where he
successfully completed a
certificate course in
engineering.
Liverpool, on the other hand,
noted his exemplary performance
on the course could be
attributed to the resilience
inculcated during his basic
recruit training and other
courses done locally.
The two officers were
congratulated by Chief-of-Staff,
Brigadier General Michael
Atherly and other officers and
civilian employees of the GDF.
