Unidentified persons on
Thursday night lobbed a channa
bomb into the home of a
businessman of Canefield, Canje,
Berbice family causing minor
damage to floor mats of the
house.

Police in a statement last
evening said that the incident
occurred at about 11.35 on
Thursday night.
Businessman
Rampersaud Arjune and his
wife were in the upper flat of
their home when they smelt
something burning and on
checking the lower flat of the
building they saw a small fire
on the kitchen floor which was
extinguished.
Minor damage was done to a
floor mat and the vinyl, the
police said, adding that a
bottle with a quantity of channa
soaked in kerosene had been
recovered by
